Precision Rifle I

Precision Rifle I, also referred to as Introduction to Precision Rifle, is a course that is tailored to new and beginner shooters that are looking to get into the sport of Precision Rifle.  Whether it be that you want to just learn the skills to shoot long-range, be able to have the confidence to take that animal at a further distance, or you want to begin competing in PRS style events, we have created a curriculum that will fit your needs. 


Our Precision Rifle I course will be a duration of (2) days.  Most of our classes are conducted on weekends so you don't have to worry about taking days off of work.  We can't wait to see you on the Range!


Course Curriculum:


  • Firearm Safety
  • The Fundamentals of Marksmanship
  • Rifle Set-up and gear choices - Learning your equipment and Rifle System
  • Basic Ballistics and Atmospheric effects
  • Data Collection
  • MOA/MRAD measurements and how/why you use them.
  • Ballistic Software and Calculators 
  • Basic Wind Reading Techniques
  • Gathering data out to 1,000+ yards
  • Evaluation of Skills


Equipment Requirements:


  • Precision Rifle (Short Action Calibers are Highly Recommended)
  • Chamber Flag (Required)
  • Bipod (with ability to Cant)
  • Optic with External Turret Adjustments/Reticle Matching Turrets (i.e., MIL/MIL or MOA/MOA) 
  • Bubble Level or Anti-Cant devise
  • 250 rounds of Premium Ammunition (Factory or Handloads capable of producing 1” at 100 yards)
  • Eye Protection (clear lenses)
  • Ear Protection
  • Notebook and Writing Utensils
  • Range Appropriate Clothing - No Open Toe Footwear (We will shoot rain or shine) 
  • Ballistic Software Computer (i.e. Stelok Pro, Applied Ballistics, Kestrel, Hornady 4DOF )
  • Shooting Mat (Optional but recommended)
  • Rear Support Bag
  • Lunch and Snacks to eat throughout the day
  • Sunscreen
  • Bug Spray / Tick Repellant


Water and other soft beverages will be provided for FREE.

$500.00 per person (Includes all Range Fees)

Non-Refundable - Please be sure you can attend the course prior to enrolling. Exceptions apply for extenuating circumstances.
