Precision Rifle I

Precision Rifle I, also referred to as Introduction to Precision Rifle, is a course that is tailored to new and beginner shooters that are looking to get into the sport of Precision Rifle.  Whether it be that you want to just learn the skills to shoot long-range or you want to begin competing in PRS style events, Cold Bore Institutions has created a curriculum that will fit your needs.


Our Precision Rifle I, course will be a duration of 16 hours or two(2) days.  We only offer our courses on weekends because it is the easiest for most people to be able to attend. 


Course Curriculum:


  • The Fundamentals of Marksmanship
  • Rifle Set-up and gear choices - Learning your equipment and Rifle System
  • Ballistics and Atmospheric effects
  • Data Collection
  • MOA/MRAD measurements and how/why you use them
  • Ballistic Software and Calculators 
  • Wind Reading Techniques
  • Gathering data out to 1,000 yards


Equipment Requirements:


  • Precision Rifle (Caliber minimum of 6mm or higher)
  • Bipod
  • Optic with External Turret Adjustments/Reticle Matching Turrets (i.e. MIL/MIL or MOA/MOA) 
  • 200-250 rounds of Premium Ammunition (Factory or Handloads capable of producing 1” at 100 yards)
  • Notebook and Writing Utensils
  • Range Appropriate Clothing (We will shoot rain or shine) 
  • Ballistic Software (i.e. Stelok Pro, Applied Ballistics, Kestrel, Hornady 4DOF )
  • Shooting Mat (Optional)
  • Rear Support Bag
  • Lunch and Snacks to eat throughout the day


Water and other soft beverages will be provided for FREE

$250.00 per person
