Hi, my name is Tommy Russell, I am one of the co-founders and instructors of Cold Bore Institutions, LLC.
In the summer of 2007, I started my journey in the shooting sports. I was always facinated in the long-range aspect of shooting and so I began researching everything I could about long-range shooting and the sport that encompasses the style of shooting, known as the Precision Rifle League or PRS.
In 2010, I began to take this sport quite seriously. I did countless hours of research and studied every factor in shooting long-range trying to perfect my craft. Long range shooting is a challenge, you are constantly learning every time you go to the range. Nothing is the same and I think that's what I love so much about this sport.
In 2018, I began competing in PRS style matches as well as started teaching and instructing others that were interested in this style of shooting. It wasn't until 2020 when we established our firearm training company known today as Cold Bore Institutions, LLC.
We began teaching the knowledge we have obtained over the years of shooting and tried focusing on doing our part in trying to grow this industry and the community it encompasses. Although our passion is long range shooting, our vision for the company was to offer training courses for every style of shooting, including Carbine and Pistol courses.
When we are not engaged with teaching and instructing, we both actively participate in local and regional PRS competitions across New England. We are always open to learning as this sport is a never-ending learning game and we are forever students. We love to gain as much additional knowledge from various competitors in this industry; to do so, we must engage ourselves. By doing this we can pass along more valuable knowledge to our students.
As instructors, we will never leave a student behind. We offer a well-balanced instructor/student ratio, creating more valuable time with an instructor to help ensure every student is learning at their own speed.

Hi, my name is David, I am one of the co-founders of Cold Bore Institutions LLC. I began my journey in the shooting sports back in 2007.
I grew up in a hunting family so I have always been around firearms but it wasn't until 2007 when I started becoming passionate about the sports. During that time, I began getting into long-range shooting and from that point on, I fell in love with the sport.
In 2014, I began a career as a Government Security Contractor where I would later resign to pursue one of my passions as a gunsmith for a local gun store in 2019. In 2020, my cousin and myself started our training company, Cold Bore Institutions LLC.
My passion is long-range precision rifle shooting but I stay proficient and effective in carbine and pistol as well. One of my goals is to share my knowledge with students that are wanting to learn the sport of shooting, whether it be long-range precision rifle, carbine or pistol shooting.
