Competition Work-up

The Competition Work-Up course is tailored to precision rifle shooters looking to get an idea of what the competition scene is all about before actually committing to register for a match.  Students can expect to learn the ins and outs of getting ready for their first competition match.  

Course Duration:  One (1 Day) Course

Course Curriculum

• Firearm Safety 
• Fundamentals of Marksmanship
• Rifle Zeroing
• Gear Selection
• Gear Management & Time Management
• Collecting DOPE (300 - 1,100 yards)
• Mock Stages and Shooting off Multiple Props & Barricades
• Debrief 

Equipment Requirements

• Precision Rifle (Short Action Calibers Only)
• Chamber Flag (Required)
• Bipod (with ability to Cant)
• Optic with External Turret Adjustments/Reticle Matching Turrets (i.e., MIL/MIL or MOA/MOA) 
• Bubble Level or Anti-Cant device
• 150 rounds of Premium Ammunition (Factory or Handloads capable of producing 1” at 100 yards)
• Range Appropriate Clothing - No open toe footwear (We will shoot rain or shine) 
• Ballistic Software Computer (i.e., Stelok Pro, Applied Ballistics, Kestrel, Hornady 4DOF )
• Front Support Bags (Rec. AG Shmedium Gamechanger with Heavy Fill - we will have some for sale at the course) 
• Observational Devices (Binoculars or Spotting Scope recommended) 
• Lunch and Snacks to eat throughout the day.
• Sunscreen
• Bug Spray / Tick Repellant

Water and other soft beverages will be provided for FREE.

Pricing

$300.00 per person (Includes all Range Fees)
